Why I Built Better Soil

Here’s what I’ve seen —
over and over again:

Growers are spending more every year on fertilizer, and being told the solution is to apply even more.

That’s the problem.

Because most programs today ignore how soil actually works. They focus on numbers on a report - not the biological system that drives everything underneath.

I didn’t build Better Soil to follow that model.
I built it to challenge it.

Bushels matter. They also follow. We plan for a healthier root zone in five years and a better-than-average harvest this one.

Plain-English reports.

If you can't read your own soil test without an agronomist on the phone, the report is broken. Ours explains itself at the kitchen table.

We cap enrollment every season. The work is in the field, and the field doesn't care how many newsletters you send.

Outside of work, I'm in the mountains with my family — because this isn't just about farming better this year... it's about building something that lasts.
